Hard Disk (Sata, IDE, SCSI)

Hard disks are reasonably cheap now, you a wide variety of storage capacity (in Gigabytes, Gb) personally i wouldn’t go for anything less than 100Gb, its amazing how quick it fills up especially if you are working with graphics or other large files.
There are three types of HardDisk available today. these are IDE SCSI and SATA. IDE is the most common and is usually the cheapest. Most of the time SCSI HardDisks can be found in Servers and serious Workstations, they are slightly faster than IDE but cost a bit more. SATA Hard Disk drives, on the other hand, provide better value for money over SCSI setups if you are an average user.
Points to consider when purchasing: which type (IDE, SCSI or SATA), the Capacity (Gb), The Spindle speed (5400rpm/7200rpm or 10000rpm), the noise (usually the faster it is the noisier it is) and the inbuilt cache (anything from 2Mb to 8Mb nowadays).
