Firefox: Organise Bookmarks

Here is a quick guide to organising your bookmarks with Firefox. If you don’t have it, I highly recommend you get it. Firefox can be downloaded from here. If your anything like me, when you see a site you like, you bookmark it, the trouble is eventually you end up with hundreds of sites in one huge list, which isn’t very easy to navigate.

Step 1.

Once you have Firefox open right click the bar where you see the “most viewed” tab, and select “New Folder” from the menu which appears.

Step 2.

In the next window that opens up, you can choose the name of the folder. I chose to name mine in kind of categories such as “news” and “weather”, you can also add a wee description if you like too.

Step 3.

And thats it, you should now have a folder appearing in that bar, and you can simply drag the URLs you want to that folder, then to access it, just click the folder and you will see a drop down list of the sites contained in the folder. Now how organised is that!?
