The Luxury of Dubai

Hi folks, just returned back froma quick trip to Dubai and it was amazing! The weather was bright and hazy, and very very hot! It was about 37C each day.

The first thing you notice in dubai, apart from the heat, is the shear scale of everything. The manmade palms off the coast are so big they are visible from space, as well as  the Jebel Ali Harbour. The new airport that’s under construction will be the worlds biggest. Dubai hosts the world’s biggest building the Burj, and also the only 7 star hotel in the world, the Burj Al Arab.

Burj Al Arab

Everything is the Biggest, the longest, the tallest, the most luxurious in Dubai. the locals are friendly and taxis are dirt cheap. Its easier to use taxis to get through the road works. Most cities with so much construction work going on would lose tourism, but it just seems to add to the buzz of the city, every growing, ever changing. I’m sure it won’t be long before I visit again. The flights were direct from Glasgow to Dubai with Emirates, and its easy to see why they are one of the top airlines in the world!
